Charles Dean Leedy began his career in institutional bond sales with the Wall Street firms of Salomon Brothers and Goldman Sachs. Moving to North Carolina, Mr. Leedy spent ten years managing the $5 billion endowment portfolio for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Mr. Leedy founded and served as the Chief Investment Officer of Chapel Hill Investment Advisors. As CIO, Mr. Leedy worked with individual clients and foundations, providing both investment management and financial counselling services. Most recently, Mr. Leedy spent eight years managing the $3 billion endowment portfolio for Novant Health, Inc. Charles Leedy received a degree in Commerce & Engineering at Drexel University. He later attended The Harvard University Graduate School of Business, earning an MBA. In 2004, he was appointed by Governor Beverly Perdue to serve as a member of the State Employees Retirement Board. He received an award for outstanding service as a member of the Board of Directors of the Triangle Community Foundation. In 2019, Institutional Investor Magazine selected Mr. Leedy as Institutional Money Manager of the Year.
